Nearly 100 injured as two trains collide in Haryana

Nearly 100 people were injured when two trains collided in Haryana's Palwal district on Tuesday morning due to foggy conditions, police officials said.
Unconfirmed reports said that two people, including a train driver, were killed in the accident which took place near village Baghola in Palwal district, about 80 km from New Delhi.
An EMU (electric multiple unit) shuttle train collided with an express train which had halted on the same track.
The EMU hit the express train from behind. Dense fog was being attributed as the cause of the accident.
Rescue and relief work was promptly initiated by railways and district authorities and the injured were referred to hospitals in Palwal and Faridabad, officials said.

Unidentified gunmen on Monday attacked a paramilitary CRPF convoy at  Sangam Doonipora in  Bijbehara area of south Kashmir.Reports reached INB News that  Four Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) personnel were injured in a suspected militant attack.
Mean while A CRPF spokesman said that the attack took place near ‘Green Tunnel’ at Sangam in Doonipora area.The area has been cordoned off and the highway closed at Bijbehara to track down the militants.

Huge stake money recovered, case registered

Police arrested twelve gamblers and recovered stake money of Rs. 56200 from the gambling spots.
Police Sources said to INB News that police parties from Police Station Nowhata and Khanyar under the supervision of SDPO Khanyar Mir Ejaz conducted two raids near Islamia College and Nowpora. 
Twelve gamblers were arrested, he said. 
Nine of them were arrested at Hawal with stake money of Rs. 47640 and three at Nowpora with stake money of Rs. 8560, he said. 
Srinagar police has registered two cases FIR number 105/2015 and 79/2015 under section 13 gambling act at Police Station Nowhata and Khanyar respectively, he added.

He added that Mehbooba Rashid Head master middle school waripora,Ab Hamid Sheikh Head master girls middle school Noubugh Mukhtar Ahmed Tantray of HSS and Nazir sheikh Safeena Rehman laboratory Assistant at GHSS Ruzloo  .Mohd Iqbal Sheikh master were also suspended. Meanwhile two  contractul employees Wahid Rashid Mir and Tanver Naikoo terminate from service.
The people of the area told INB news that the said teachers always created a mess in their institutions and they appreciated the action taken by CEO in this regard.

Beig Shamim Ahmed :-Reports reached to INB News that following the suicide by an engineering student for “scoring low” marks, the government has declared the examiner as “deadwood” and has ordered his “compulsorily” retirement.
In press conference at his Qamarwari residence in Srinagar Minister for Information and Technology Imran Raza Ansari said he has directed the technical Education Department to initiate strict possible action against the delinquent lecturer and declare the officer as dead wood and compulsorily retire him from his service.

According to reports reached to INB news that An electronics engineering student, Muhammad Adnan s/o HilalHilal Ahmed Gilkar, of Nowgam, to end his life on June 18 this year by wrongly declaring him fail in Physics paper.After seeing his result, Adnan had committed suicide. . Four months after Adnan’s death, re-evaluation of the paper reveals that Adnan had not only passed in the subject but also topped his class,” the students said INB. 
“The original answer booklet of Physics paper was also reassessed by the enquiry officer thourgh a subject expert who said that Adnan has scored 48 marks out of 100,” he said.
The minister told to our Bureau Chief J&K Beig Shamim Ahmed that he also directed his department to take action against the officers of the State Board of Technical Education (SBOTE) for alleged negligence and in the first instance Secretary SBOTE and Deputy Registrar have been shifted to non sensitive postings.Meanwhile a committee is being constituted headed by Director Technical Education to study the present evaluation systembeing foolowed in SBOTE and suggest the measures to be taken for the improvement in the conduct of examinations,evaluation process and allied activities so that the entire working of SBOTE is revamped standardized and made more transparent and accountable in future.
“The overall supervision of the evaluation was the responsibility of the board officers,” the minister said, adding action as per rules will be taken against them.
The minister has also ordered to study the present evaluation system being followed in SBOTE for improving it

Police on Monday booked sixteen persons for allegedly assaulting baraatis late last evening in a village in Rajouri district.
The accused attacked a marriage party when the baraatis were returning along with bride in Gohlad village of the district near Gursai Nallah,sources said INB News.
Meanwhile, police has lodged a case under sections 307, 341, 382, 147, 336 of RPC in police station Gursai of Mendhar and has booked sixteen people for attacking baraatis.
Several baraatis were injured in the attack, he said. They were shifted to a hospital for treatment.

affected in Kashmir Valley due to inclement weather today as dense fog forced cancellation of all flights to and fro Srinagar Airport, leaving hundreds of passengers stranded, officials said.
"All flights for today have been cancelled due to bad weather as no airline could operate," an official of the Airport Authority of India said that 21 flights were scheduled at the airport for today.

Srinagar: Three militants were killed in an encounter between militants and security forces in south Kashmir’s Ashmuqam area on Monday.According to the police, three Hizbul Mujahideen militants namely Adil, Amir and Arif all residents of Bijbehara were killed in Siligam area of Ashmuqam.According to the reports, Army’s 3 RR & and Jammu and Kashmir Police’s Special Operation Group (SOG) cordoned off the area after receiving the tip off of the presence of the militants in the area.Reports added that as soon as the Security forces launched search operation, the hiding militants start firing on them resulting into the firece encounter.Three militants have been killed so far and search operation is underway in the area.

1 dead, 2 injured in road accident at Mirgund Baramulla

One person died while two others were grievously hurt in a road accident, apparently caused due to heavy fog in north Kashmir’s Mirgund area on Monday morning.
Reports said that a Tavera carrying newspapers from Srinagar to Kupwara collided with a cement mixer on Srinagar-Baramulla road near Mirgund, resulting in critical injuries to three persons.
The driver of the vehicle identified as Mushtaq Ahmad Bhat Son of Ali Mohammad a resident of Ratnipora Pulwama died on the spot, said a police official. The two others have been shifted to a hospital for treatment.

Terrorism should not be linked with religion: Naqvi

Terrorism, the biggest threat to the world's peace, should not be linked with any religion, union Minister of State for Parliamentary and Minority Affairs Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi said on Sunday.
"...growing terror incidents across the world have strengthened India's view that terrorism has not remained problem of a particular country or region but the devil of terrorism has extended its presence across the world and it has become the biggest threat to the world's peace, stability and economy," he said in his blog titled 'Murder of Humanity to Establish Evil Empire'.
Urging the world to stand united against terrorism and radicalism, Naqvi said people should not look at terrorism through the "spectacles of religion for political motive".
"The day we will link terrorism with religion we will be trapped into ill design of terror elements. Those elements who are indulged into such cruelty have nothing to do with Islam or humanity." 
He called for a united war against terrorism at the global level.
"There is need for united efforts by all the countries, Muslim world, religious leaders, intellectuals against the menace of terrorism and radicalism." 
He also called for communication and coordination among the society, religious leaders, government agencies and the media to defeat the menace of terrorism.

Srinagar, Nov 22 : Police on Sunday arrested three persons and booked them for attempt to murder in connection with an attack on Kashmir bound truck driver last evening.
According to reports that a Kashmir bound oil tanker (JK01W-7638) driver Farooq Ahmad of Keegam, Shopian was injured after a group of goons attacked him near Nandini on Srinagar-Jammu highway on Saturday night.Shouting anti-Kashmiri slogans, the group beat up the driver to pulp before they left the spot, leaving Farooq in injured condition on the highway, reports had said.
“The timely intervention of police and paramilitary CRPF men had saved the life of trucker and the oil tanker vehicle as they tried to set it ablaze.”Acting swiftly, SHO Jajjer Kotli told that they have identified five attackers. “Out of them three have been arrested today in the morning and a vehicle bearing registration number JK02A-J0070 was also seized,” he said.
Three accused persons Sanjeev Kumar, Sumit Kumar and Rajender Singh, all residents of Katra have been arrested. “All were booked under section 307 RPC (Attempt to murder),” he said.When asked why the trucker was attacked, the SHO said they were travelling in two vehicles and all of them were drunk. “They tried to overtake from the oil tanker (vehicle) and in the meantime, the drunken men caught hold of the driver and thrashed him.Earlier, the police had filed the case under FIR No. 134/2015 under RPC sections of 341 (wrongful restraint) and 323 (voluntarily causing hurt).
The other two accused
were at large and the vehicle found at the time of attack without the number plate has also been identified as JK020-6199 (Swift Desire), the SHO said.SHO said that the driver of the oil tanker has been immediately hospitalized and is stable.
The incident comes little over a month after one of the two persons injured in the attack on a valley-bound truck in Udhampur on October 9-10 night died in the Delhi’s Safdarjung Hospital nearly after a week, provoking massive protests in valley.

Beig Shamim Ahmed :-Awami Ittihaad Party president and MLA Langate Er Rasheed Saturday announced holding of all Parties conference on November 28 this year in Srinagar to persuade central government for establishing IIT, IIM and IIMC in Kashmir.
Addressing media persons at a local hotel here, he said that "we are not against establishing any institution in Jammu province but it should not be done at the cost of interests of Kashmir and while establishing IIT, IIM and AIIMS in Jammu province the interests of Pirpanchal and Chenab regions should not be ignored as usual.”
“People of Chenab and Pirpanchal regions have been always deprived and ignored and govt. must establish one of these three institutions each in Jammu, Chenab and Pirpanchal regions,” he added.
Er Rasheed condemned union government for depriving Kashmir from IIT and IIM and appealed all political, social, trade, and other organizations to form a joint strategy to force New Delhi to establish IIT, IIM and IIMC in Kashmir.
“We are sending invitations to all political parties besides, Valley based MPs, civil society, trade organizations, bar association and other organizations to attended an all Parties meet in Srinagar next week on November 28 to evolve a consensus as how to force central government to establish these prestigious institutions in Kashmir,” he said.
He also criticized state government for failing to release salaries of SSA teachers and demanded resignation of education minister Nayeem Akhter for his incompetence to resolve the genuine issues of teachers and deteriorating work culture in JKBOSE.

Rules out any  influence of IS ideology in J&K

Police today ruled out any influence of Islamic State in Kashmir Valley in the wake of terror attacks claimed by the global terror outfit in Paris. "We do not find any ISIS ideology (being followed) in Jammu and Kashmir," (DGP) J&K, K Rajendra Kumar told reporters here today. 
He said that the rate of infiltration from Pakistan has decreased remarkably and there was also a decline in militancy related activities in the state. 
"Infiltration (from across the border) rate has decreased remarkably and there is also a decline in the militancy related activities in the Valley," the DGP said. 
Kumar, who visited the twin districts of Doda and Kishtwar to take part in various police related functions, said that professional policing at grass-root level in the state would be revamped to enhance proficiencies of policemen and build confidence among the people. 
DGP said that mechanism should be revisited to build police-public relations for better results at different fronts of policing. 
While chairing a meeting to review law and order situation of the twin districts, the DGP stressed for enhancing basic professional policing. 
"Besides fight against terrorism, our priority should be to ensure better public deliverance and rule of law in every corner of the state," the police officer said. 
Referring to the criminal activities, DGP asked the officers to fight against drug abuse and realise the dream of a crime free society. 
He asked for crime mapping with intent to establish pattern and factors of crime, which could lead to identity of criminals. 
DGP said that besides dealing the terrorism firmly, the police has to work towards the eradication of crime and social evils from the society. (INB NEWS)

Police busts Inter-state ATM Cloning Gang in Leh ; two Arrested

Beig Shamim Ahmed:- District Police Leh today detained two suspects Ajay and Sanjay (names changed) who were in process of obtaining PIN Numbers illegally from the customers at an unguarded ATM in Leh town by pretending themselves as customers and cloning the ATM cards by placing some device on machine.
In recent past District Police Leh has been receiving complaints about withdrawals of money from various accounts of customers of Leh at various locations in the National Capital Region (NCR) without their knowledge and accordingly District Police Leh constituted a special team led by DySP Hqr Leh to investigate the matter.
Police persons in civvies were deployed at some selected ATMs with proper briefings and these ATMs were under police surveillance round the clock and after a long sustained and serious efforts the accused were finally arrested.
During interrogation and enquiry it surfaced that the accused persons usually came to Leh from Delhi for 2-3 days and during this period they would choose some unguarded ATMs and attach their own cloning machine with the ATM  and the members of the gang pretending themselves as customers would entice genuine customers to insert their cards into the ATMs (having  cloning machine fitted with it) and at the same time they would also note the PIN numbers of the customers by standing behind them. During this process the members would successfully clone ATM cards and acquire PIN numbers.
Thereafter they would flee the area with the collected data for generation of ATM cards etc. at Delhi and other parts of the country and withdraw money from the accounts of the customers at NCR and other parts of Northern region illegally by making and by using cloned cards for their own use.
This gang has been active in National Capital Region and many other States like Rajasthan, MP, Maharashtra, UP, Haryana and Delhi etc. of the Country where they use the same technique to collect data related to ATM cards. The arrested members of this Gang are most wanted in Delhi and other parts of the Country and are prize catch.
District Police Leh appeals the general public/ATM card users of Leh/Srinagar and Kargil to immediately change PIN Numbers/Passwords of their ATM cards so that the chances of further withdrawals are minimized. Few more arrests are awaited and special teams have been constituted and are being sent in different directions to arrest other accused persons.

INB NEWS:-At least 35 people were killed and over 180 others injured in two suicide bombings that rocked the Burj el-Barajneh region here in Lebanon on Thursday, Xinhua reported.
"A suicide bomber blew himself up near a small snack bar on the main street of Burj el-Barajneh and after seven minutes, another bomber blew himself up near the main mosque of the region.
The security forces have cordoned off the areas and the civil defence teams are evacuating the injured to nearby hospitals, the source added.
The southern suburbs of Beirut are considered the stronghold of Hezbollah, which is fighting in Syria alongside the forces of President Bashar al-Assad against Islamic fundamentalists.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi today faced questions on intolerance in India in recent months and 2002 riots in Gujarat, drawing an assurance from him that intolerance would not accepted in any part of India.
At a media interaction here after talks with his British counterpart David Cameron, a BBC reporter referred to recent incidents of intolerance and asked why India was becoming an increasingly intolerance place.
Modi replied that India is a land of Buddha and Gandhi and its culture does not accept anything that is against the basic social values.
"India does not accept intolerance even if it is one or two or three incidents. But for a country of 125 crore people whether it is significant or not, it does not matter. For us every incident is serious. We do not tolerate it.
"Law takes strong action and will continue to do so.
India is a vibrant democracy which under Constitution provides protection all citizens, their lives and thoughts. We are committed to it," said the Prime Minister. 
In UK, Modi says India won't Tolerate intolerance
India will never tolerate intolerance, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said here on Thursday.
Asked about sectarian strife in India, Modi, who arrived here on a three-day visit, told the media that the Indian authorities will "take strict action against those who indulge in such (violent) acts".
"India will not tolerate intolerance," he said, adding that India was the land of Lord Buddha and Mahatma Gandhi.
"We are a democracy and committed to freedom of speech," he said. "We are not an intolerant society."

Boy dies, man hurt in road mishaps
A minor boy died while another person was injured in two separate road accidents in Kulgam and Handwara, police said today.
In Kulgam, a Tipper bearing registration number JK03D-5709 hit a seven-year-old boy Mehran Ahmad Parray, son of Abdul Hamid, resident of Shampora at Choimula, Qazigund, resulting in his on spot death.
After completion of legal formalities, the body was handed over to his relatives for last rites.
In Handwara, a Bus bearing registration number JK03-4685 hit and injured a pedestrian identified as Tanveer Ahmad Mir son of Mohammad Abdullah resident of Chowgal Handwara at Sagipora.
The injured was shifted to hospital for treatment. Handwara police has registered a case in this regard.

Blood donation, Free medical camp organized in Budgam


 Police organised a blood donation and free medical camp in Budgam today.On the eve of world Blood Donors Day police Budgam in association with Young Indian group organized this blood donation and free medical camp.In the blood donation camp volunteers, civilians, policemen, police officers including SSP Budgam and ASP Budgam donated blood. 17 points of blood was collected and donated.In the medical camp more than 300 patients were treated and free of cost medicine was provided.

Srinagar: During a joint meeting among two Hurriyat factions and JKLF at Historical Jamia Masjid Srinagar, the participants called for complete shutdown on Wednesday, 17 June 2015 against the continue killing of civilians at the hands of unknown gunmen in Sopore.
The meeting which was attended by Mirwaiz Umar Farooq, Advocate Shahidul Islam from Hurriyat (M), Altaf Shah, Mehraj ud Din Kalwal from Hurriyat (G) and Noor Muhammad Kalwal, Altaf Ahmad Khan, Ajmal Ahmad from JKLF called for Sopore march on Friday, 19th June 2015.
Senior Hurriyat leader said that, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq, Syed Ali Shah Geelani and Yasin Malik will also hold special prayers on Friday at Sopore main Chowk.
Pertinently, unidentified gunmen shot dead a man this morning in Sopore in north Kashmir, taking the number of civilian killings by suspected terrorists to six in the last three weeks. Sources say the victim was a former militant.
Meanewhile Chief Minister, Mufti Mohammad Sayeed, has taken a serious view of the killings of the civilians in Sopore and issued directions to the Home Department for stepping up investigations and providing secure environment to all civilians.

Doctor terminated, another suspended in surprise check by Health Minister


Jammu: One doctor was terminated and another suspended when they were found absent from duty during a surprise visit by state health minister Chaudhary Lal Singh, an official said on Monday.
"Minister for Health Chaudhary Lal Singh yesterday paid a surprise visit to Primary Health Centre (PHC) at Tikri in Udhampur district of Jammu region and found the concerned doctors absent from duty," an official spokesman said.
Taking a serious note of the matter, the minister asked Director, Health Services to place Dr Shivani under suspension while he ordered termination of Dr Shikha, who was appointed under National Rural Health Mission (NRHM), he said.
During his visit, the minister also caught officials of the PHC consuming alcohol during duty hours in the office premises, he said.
"Pharmacist Laxmi Dubey and Nursing Orderly Ashok Kumar were arrested by the police after their medical examination while two officials Bupinder Singh, a dental technician, and Rakesh Kumar fled from the spot," he said.
The minister has directed the concerned station house officer of the police to immediately arrest the absconding officials. The minister also visited PHC Garhi and found 16 staff members, including medicos and paramedics, absent from duty while only one pharmacist was present in the hospital.
The minister directed the Director, Health Services to seek explanation from the absentees, including Block Medical Officer Vijay Basotra, for negligence of duty.

ANANTNAG, JUNE 15: National Lok Adalat was organized at Anantnag under the supervision of Chairman, District Legal Services Authority Mr. Mohammed Akram Chowdhary. A bench comprising of Principal District and Sessions Judge Anantnag and Additional District and Sessions Judge Anantnag took up 04 claim petition of Motor Accident claims Tribunal, out of which 02 cases were amicably settled granting an amount of Rs. 24 lakhs as compensation to the claimants.
Meanwhile, A National Lok Adalat was also held at Munsiff Court Complex, Shangus under the chairmanship of Chairman, Tehsil Legal Services Committee Shangus Mr. Altaf Hussain Khan. One bench was constituted for holding of said Lok Adalat which was presided over by Munsiff JMIC Shangus Mr. Zulfikar Ahmad Khan attended as member of the bench.
As many as 35 cases of different natures were taken up during the National Lok Adalat, out of which 20 cases were settled amicably on spot in presence of the concerned parties. The next such Lok Adalat will be held on July 10, 2015 at the same venue.
