12 November:-On the occasion of International Disaster Risk Reduction Day on 13th October, a Rally has been organised.The theme selected this year, by the UN General Assembly is “Living with Disasters and Disabilities”.Civil Defence Organisation in collaboration with various organisations, working for the welfare of persons with disabilities, have organised a Rally, to create awareness about the day.The rally of volunteers is scheduled to start from Civil Defence Control Room, Maulana Azad Road (Near Dr. Ali Jan Complex, Opposite S.P. Higher Secondary School) upto Press Enclave, Srinagar. Qamar Ali Akhoon Sahib, Hon’ble Advisor to Hon’ble Chief Minister J&K, has kindly consented to flag-off the Rally at 10.45am on 13th October (Sunday).Media is invited to grace the occasion.
