Srinagar, April 19, : Lashing out at Sham Lal Sharma for calling Doctors Association Kashmir (DAK) as an unregistered Association, President of DAK Dr Nisar-ul-Hassan Friday said that Sham Lal Sharma is a murderer and a murderer has no right to call Doctors Association Kashmir as unregistered.“This is not an issue right now. Sharma is trying to divert the attention of the people and DAK by no means will succumb to such attacks. We have right to form Associations and no one can deprive us from this right,” Dr Nisar-ul-Hassan told Srinagar based news gathering.Calling DAK as the umbrella association of all associations in Jammu and Kashmir, he said that supposedly if DAK was unregistered then why he allowed us to work during his own tenure. “If it was unregistered, he should have banned us right then. We demand his immediate arrest as he is responsible for the deaths of our children and mothers,” he said.DAK president while talking to news agency said that as Health Minister,Sharma had no problems with the association, “he used to provide cozy atmosphere, arrange lunches and dinners for the Association. But as soon as the Association brought the irregularities done by the Minister in the health department to lime light, he instantly became an enemy of us,” he said.“When irregularities surfaced in Health department in 2010, Sharma tried his best to defame us. He used every means to convince everyone that we were the main culprits. But we showed patience and did not take to streets, but that does not mean DAK was not valid,” said Haq.“The message is loud and clear. DAK will initiate action against Sharma who is a killer. He can’t get away with all this. Supply of spurious drugs amounts to genocide, “More than 5oo children died in G.B.Panth Hospital,Was any action taken against the culprits? Kashmiri people never follow single track: Syed Ali Shah Geelani

Srinagar, April 14, : “Spurious drugs were supplied to Valley based hospitals in a planned way to pave way for genocide. Omar Abdullah like his predecessors emotionally black mails Kashmiri people. Those Kashmiri’s who cast votes in favour of political parties are the real culprits and history will never pardon them. We are pitching for election boycott not because boycott favors National Conference or any other party but because the Government of India exploits our participation in elections and defames Kashmiri freedom struggle all across the globe,” this was stated by Chairman, Hurriat Conference (G), Syed Ali Shah Geelani in an exclusive interview with CNS on Sunday. In a scathing attack on the Jammu and Kashmir government, Geelani said this government is not only extending help to government of India for suppressing the freedom sentiments of people but also encourages anti-Kashmiri elements. “Spurious drugs were supplied to Valley based hospitals in a planned way to pave way for genocide. Everyone from former Health Minister to Director Health Services is involved in this planned game. The real purpose of this scandal was to kill Kashmiri people in a silent manner. There are different agencies who spent crores to hit Kashmiri’s from right left and centre,” Geelani said.
“More than 5oo children died in G.B.Panth Hospital. What was that? Was not it a planning? Was any action taken against the culprits? Who will take the action when the top brass itself does such planning? Leave aside the matter of spurious drugs, even in interrogation centres, Kashmiri youth are being interrogated in such a manner that they tend to lose the features of a man,” he said and added that Health Sector has a budget of Rs 50 crores per year and yet the officials related with these sectors never care to analyze the authenticity of drugs. He said that if Omar Abdullah is claiming that he is the well-wisher of the people then why he remained silent over the spurious drug scam. “Like his predecessors, Omar Abdullah fully knows how to black mail people of Kashmiri. Omar knows the weakness of people because Kashmiri people never follow one track. Omar, who is a great actor like his father sheds crocodile tears and tries to gain the sympathy of people but unfortunately those Kashmiri people who prove hands and arms for the political parties don’t know their acts are actually burying this freedom movement for which thousands have shed their sacred blood,” Geelani said.
Octogenarian leader told CNS that the real culprits are those who cast their vote in favour of political parties. “These people don’t realize how their actions tarnish the image of freedom movement. It is really to sorry to state these people even after casting their votes claim to be freedom lovers. People should understand that Government of India leaves no stone unturned in defaming our freedom movement when people cast movement. Don’t people remember how the Prime Minister of India at Red Forte claimed that Kashmiri people have decided their fate by participating in Panchayati elections,” Geelani said and added that history will count those Kashmiri’s in the line of murderers who take part in political rallies and cast their vote,” he said. These people came on raods demanding freedom, bear the brunt of police, Army and CRPF. These people face bullets and tear gas shells. But at the time of elections these very people didn’t forget everything and revolve around political leaders and polling booths,” Geelani said and admitted that Kashmiri people never follow one tract as a result they suffer.
Syed Ali Shah Geelani claimed that government of India is hell-bent to make people suffer by different means who live in Kashmir and Muslim belts in Jammu. “People of Kashmir will realize one day and will fully come to know about the real face of India and the face of political parties in Jammu and Kashmir whose actions make India strong in Valley,” Geelani said adding that Kashmiri people should know that development or the construction of a fly-over will not give him freedom and he will remain slave even after vast development.

Book Sham Lal and others in spurious drug scandal, Kashmir has become a laboratory for anti-Kashmiri people: Muzaffar Shah

Srinagar, April 14,: Directly Holding National Conference responsible for supplying spurious drugs to Valley based hospitals, senior Vice President, Awami National Conference Sunday said that Sham Lal Sharm the former Health Minister could not handle such a scam single-handedly as there might be some big fish involved in it on whose instruction spurious drugs were supplied to Valley based hospitals.“Not only Sham Lal Sharma should be booked but right from the clerk to the top bureaucrats who are connected with this spurious drugs scam should be arrested and lodged into jails,” Muzaffar Ahemd Shah told Srinagar based news agency CNS and added that National Conference can go to any extent to remain in power.“It amounts to murder and I must tell you that Jammu and Kashmir has become a laboratory for anti-Kashmiri people and they experiment everything here and no one dares to stop them from playing with the lives of people,” he said.ANC, senior vice president said that it is the National Conference which should be held responsible for this scam. “The sorry state is that nobody from this party has showed concern about this big and grave scandal. I am sure, Sham Lal Sharam could not do it alone but there might be some big fish behind the curtains and they should be exposed,” Shah said.

Visit different jails and see how Kashmiri’s are being treated, Engineer Rashid tells Indian Civil Society and Lawyers

Srinagar, April 14,): MLA Langate, Engineer Rasheed Sunday appealed lawyers, human rights activists and members of civil society all across India to take notice of sufferings of Kashmiri people and use their good offices and other possible ways and means to ensure that state terrorism comes to an end in the state of Jammu and Kashmir which has become like a ‘lawlessisland’ due to the misuse of power and draconian laws.Addressing at a two days National Consultation on Prison Legal Aid seminar, organized by Human Rights Law Network in New Delhi, Rashid said that Kashmiris have right to know that if India has hanged Afzal Guru, then why there is a selective treatment given when it comes to punishing state actors hailing from police and other security agencies who have send thousands of Kashmiris to the graveyard and are involved in heinous crimes like custodial killings, fake encounters, tortures, custodial disappearances during last 25 years just to gain promotions and rewards .He charged that task of dealing with militancy and law and order problems in J&K has become a most profitable industry for various security agencies. “It is unfortunate that you provide impunity to security forces in the name of so called nationalinterest and glorify their atrocities on innocent Kashmiris whom you claim to be your “Atoot Ang”. How can an act carried out by militants be more heinous than the same acts carried out by security forces? In fact, security forces have to be more answerable and responsible as they are governed by the law and are supposed to protect the life and property of people irrespective of their ideologies”, he added.Engineer Rashid said that lawyers fraternity should come forward and provide best possible legal aid to those ill fatted kashmiris languishing in different jails in India and are actually not involved in any crime but have become victim of security agencies, who just want to score points over each other and frighten their own citizens by crying that every Kashmiri is a terrorist. He also appealed lawyers and human rights activists to find some time to visit various jails like Koth-Balwal, Kathua, Amphalla, Hira Nagar, Tihar, Jodhpur, Jaipur, Allahbad, Ahmadabad and other jails and find the facts that howKashmiri prisoners are being barred from offering their religious prayers and are subjected to torture for petty things inside jails. He cited the example of torture on Kashmiri youth detained in Jaipur jail for allegedly indulging in some verbal argument with a Safai Karamchari there.MLA Langate also appealed the participants to help in ensuring that under trials are produced before court on due datesand adequate food and health facilities are provided to them, which they are being currently denied. The seminar was attended by prominent lawyers of supreme court, Lawyers hailing from 15 states across India, prominent Journalists, jail authorities of few major jails, members of civil society, Human rights activists hailing from different states of India and students from various universities
