April 02, 2013: Shri S. M. Sahai IPS assumed the charge
of Addl. DGP Armed J&K today. On his arrival at APHQ a rousing reception
was given to him by the Officers and men of J&K Armed Police. On the
occasion, the Addl. DGP was presented Guard of Honour by a smartly attired
contingent of J&K Armed Police.Immediately after taking over as Addl. DGP
Armed, Shri Sahai held meeting of Jammu
based Commandants of AP/IR units. During the meeting, the Addl. DGP was briefed
about the functioning of Armed Police in the Winter Capital. Earlier, the Addl.
DGP inspected various sections of
APHQ and enquired about the functioning and
welfare of the personnel. He exhorted upon the section heads for working with
renewed zeal and zest and rejuvenate themselves for the overall development of
the J&K Armed Police.Before assuming the charge of Addl. DGP Armed, Shri
Sahai has worked on various important assignments notably IGP Kashmir Zone, IGP
Crime J&K,
DIG
Rajouri Poonch
Range, SSP Jammu and SSP
Baramulla.Among others who were present on the occasion include Shri A.G. Mir
IGP Kashmir Zone, Shri Rajesh Kumar IGP Jammu Zone, Shri P. R. Manhas, IGP
AP/IR Jammu, Shri T. Punchok DIG IR Jammu, Shri Johny William DIG AP Jammu,
Shri Mansoor A. Untoo, Staff Officer to Addl. DGP Armed besides commandants of
Jammu based Armed/IR Units.
