JAMMU WEST ASSEMBLY MOVEMENT



INB NEWS : A high level delegation, meeting held with Mr Shakeel Beigh the IPS DIG Deputy inspector General Jammu Region Of Traffic police and Sunil Dimple president Jammu west assembly MOVEMENT, as a part of the intensified Jan Andolan by the movement against the worsening traffic problems.

Sunil Dimple apprised the DIG Traffic Shakeel Beigh, the reasons, cause of traffic problems in the west assembly constituency and the Jammu city and the Region for the worst traffic scenario in the Jammu city. He strongly registered protest that the ratio of the accidental deaths is more than the militancy victims.
Dimple registered the strong protest with the Jammu Kashmir Govt and sent a strong massage to the Coalition Govt through the DIG to take the  immediate steps at war footing to control the worst traffic problem in the Jammu city and to stop the rising accidents in the far flung hilly rural areas due worst conditions of the roads  .

  Dimple alleged Govt is “not constructing” the fly overs at Rehari Chungi, and Jewal Chowk in the city. He appealed the Govt to “Simultaneously” together start the construction work of all the  3 three flyovers at Vikram chowk, Jewal Chowk, and at the Rehari Chungi and not to discriminate the people of the city one politics of the Ruling supremacy and the Opposition politics.  
  He urged the Govt  to come up with the time bound city mobile plan,policy to solve the worsening traffic problem in the region and city and accused all the PWD, R&B, ERA, Jammu municipal corporation, JDA & the Govt, have completely  failed to come up with any constructive plan to solve the worsening traffic problem of the city.
 He demanded construction of multi storied parking at Panjterthi, Supper bazaar shalmar, and at bus stand Jammu. He also demanded to install more traffic signal lights in the Jammu city.
He demanded for starting and the connectivity of the  Metro Rail, Mono Rail to the adjoining towns and Construction of Circular Roads to solve the traffic problem faced by the people of Jammu City.
Dimple Demanded the Govt. for construction of alternative four way circular road from Amphalla  Manda to High Court  Janipur to  Roop Nagar, Bantalab  to Ease the traffic rush problem  on the  Amphalla, New Plot, Janipur, Bantalab Road to save precious  lives of residents of these localities from the road  Accidents.
The D I G traffic Shakeel Beigh gave very patient hearing to the demands raised by Sunil Dimple and assured that the immediate steps will be taken by his department to solve the traffic problem at war footings in the Jammu city and to see the problems of the far flung Rural areas.
He assured Dimple that all the demands put forward by him will be taken up with the Govt at the earliest.  
DIG Traffic Shakeel Beigh appealed the people to fallow the traffic rules, avoid the wrong parkings, appealed the Matadors Union to pick the passengers from the proper stands and also appealed the people to stand on the proper matador stands which will go a long way to solve the traffic problems. He also passed directions to his staff to strictly implement the traffic rules and to take action against the erring persons.
The DIG Shakkel Beigh also directed his officers to give proper response and behavior to words the problems of the commuters, people and come forward to solve the traffic problems in the Jammu city. He said the entries points have been abolished by the traffic department for the transparency to control the malpractice if done by any employee of the traffic department.
  The movement has decided to hold a big seminar on 2 Nov on the traffic scenario of the Jammu region with the involvement of the traffic department, other Govt agencies responsible to control the traffic menace, Transporter, prominent citizens and other heads of the various NGOs.
