SP Handwara holds police-public meet with traders




Srinagar, June 10: Superintendent of Police, Handwara, Sh. Chaudary Mohammad Aslam today chaired a police–public meeting with the Traders Federation, Handwara. Speaking on the occasion, SP Handwara stressed upon the presidents of Matador and Bus association Handwara to avoid overloading, overcharging and over speeding. The President of Bepoar Mandal was advised to brief all he shop keepers to avoid black marketing. He further requested the participants to extend their cooperation to the local police in discharging its multifarious duties to maintain peace in the area.In the meeting, various public issues pertaining to shortage of drinking water, macadamisation of the road from Sheikh Hamza Complex to New Bus Stand Handwara and other basic amenities were highlighted by the participants. SP Handwara assured the participants that their grievances will be taken with concerned authorities for immediate redressal. He also thanked the participants for sparing their valuable time.The participants assured their cooperation to the local police in eradication of all criminal activities in the area. They also suggested that such meeting should continue for the better Police-traders relation.
