JAMMU,
MARCH 14: Minister for Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs, Mir Saifullah
today informed the Legislative Assembly that as per reports received from IGP
Kashmir zone Nafrees of 73 BN of CRPF were on way to SKIMS to donate blood for
the CRPF personnel who had been injured in the Bemina attack earlier in the
day. They reportedly met with an attack from alleged group of stone pelters at
Saidpora Eidgah, Srinagar. The CRPF men retaliated and opened the fire in which
one Altaf Ahmad Mir, age 35 years was killed.Making a statement in the House
about the incident, the Minister said FIR No: 15/2013 was registered in Police
Station Soura and investigation was ordered.Minister of State for Home, Mr
Sajad Kichloo, while intervening,
informed the house that Chief Minister, Mr Omar Abdullah and Deputy Chief Minister, Mr Tara Chand are in
Srinagar and reviewing the situation and hoped they would take an appropriate
decision regarding Saidpora incident soon.
