Shabir hails Panchs Sarpanchs for electing coalition candidates
INB NEWS KASHMIR, DECEMBER 07:- Minister of state for Power, Forest, CA&PD and Transport, Mr. Shabir Ahmed Khan has thanked panchs and Sarpanchs for reposing faith in coalition candidates by electing them with convincing margin    in panchayat quota Member Legislative Council elections.  In a statement, while congratulating the victorious coalition candidates, the Minister hoped that they would work with sincerity, dedication, zeal and devotion for socio- economic transformation of the people, especially living below poverty line and raise issues of public importance in the house and other  forums for immediate redressal  .  The Minister said that this landmark victory of the coalition partners was the result of the people friendly policies introduced by the government during last over 3 year. He said the present government  worked tirelessly for peace and prosperity of the State and succeeded to conduct Panchayat elections to ensure devolution of power to grass root level.    Mr. Shabir said that primary responsibility of the public representatives was to go to the people for determining and addressing their problems through Government agencies.  He asked people to know their rights and seek due share in development process launched by the Government across the State. Reiterating that the coalition government was committed to establish a vibrant 3-tier Panchayati Raj [PR] system in the State, Mr. Shabir assured    maximum empowerment of Panchayati Raj Institutions [PRI] adding that the J&K Panchayati RAJ Act made more broad based so that socio-economic scenario in the rural and hilly areas is given a new direction. While asking Panches and Sarpanches to remain cautious against the     opposition propagandas, he said it  always   tries to create miss-understanding and disillusionment regarding empowerment of Panchs and sarpanchs.   He assured the Panchs and Sarpanchs that their interests are safe in the hands of coalition   and they should not get swayed by the hollow promises of opposition. He said all the problems of Panchs and Sarpanchs would be solved honestly by the government, adding that   after MLC elections the elections to Block Development Councils would be conducted to complete the process of establishment of three tier- Panchayati Raj System in the State.
