Director Kashmir University Instrumentation Centre Visits Police Drug De-addiction Centre, Assures help in the noble cause




Srinagar, December 21: The University of Kashmir delegation headed by Dr. Ghulam Mohi-u-Din, Director University Instrumentation Centre, visited Police Drug De- Addiction Center and assured assistance to the Centre. The delegation was impressed by the efforts that have been put in to eradicate the menace of Drug abuse.A delegation from University of Kashmir headed by Dr. Ghulam Mohi-u-Din, Director University Instrumentation Centre, visited Police Drug De- Addiction Center, PCR, Srinagar. He interacted with patients admitted in the center and also with the recovered patients and their family members.Dr. Mohi-u-Din was impressed by the treatment facility and appreciated the role of J&K Police for its novel initiative. He stressed upon the professionals working in the Drug De- Addiction Center to develop technological innovations to detect and manage drug abuse problems and assure for all kind of support from the University Instrumentation Center University of Kashmir. The visiting dignitary assured Dr. Mohammad Muzaffer Khan, Incharge of the Center that he will empower the recovered addicted patients by providing them short term vocational training courses like Mobile repairing, repairing of washing machines, refrigerators, AC’s and other electronic gadgets. He also proposed collaboration between the Police Drug De-Addiction Center and University Instrumentation Center under a theme “Entrepreneurship as a way for de-addiction” and assured for community awareness programs so that the youth of J&K are saved from drug menace.He also visited the residential and recreational facilities of the patients and interacted with the doctors and counselors of the Center and stressed upon the Government that the facility needs to be expended so that more and more people are benefited at an earliest.
