Vacant posts of ZEOs in Reasi district to be filled soon: Fero

MARCH 12- Minister of State for Education Mr. Feroz Ahmad Khan while replying to a Calling Attention Notice by Mr. Jugal Kishore said that presently the posts of Zonal Education Officers in all six zones of District Reasi are lying vacant for which temporary arrangements have been made by assigning temporary charge to ZEPOs/Principals/Lecturers of concerned zones for the smooth functioning.The Minister said that the charge of Zone Reasi has been entrusted to ZEPO Reasi, the charge of Pouni Zone has been given to Principal, HSS Pouni, the charge of Zone Mahore and Chassana has been given to ZEPO Mahore, while as the powers of Zone Chinkah and Arnas has been delegated to Principal, HSS Panassa and Lecturer, HSS Darmari respectively. The Minister said that there is a shortage of officers at ZEOs and equivalent level. The feeding cadre for the post of ZEOs and equivalent is Headmaster and equivalent, adding that the Department has recently regularized I/C Headmasters and equivalent officers vide Government Order No. 684-Edu of 2012 dated 4.9.2012 based on the recommendations of Committee constituted for the purpose in pursuance to Cabinet Decision No. 225/26/2011 dated 16.12. 2011.Mr. Feroz further informed that the process for updating the final seniority list of Headmasters and equivalent is under process and the same will be issued shortly. As and when the final seniority list of Headmasters and equivalent officers is issued, the process of placement of Headmasters to I/C Zonal Education Officers and equivalent will be initiated. All the vacant posts of ZEOs and equivalent posts in all six zones in district Reasi will be filled up accordingly, he added.
