Confrontation between Media and Tarigami Media responsible for disorder in State: Tarigami

Srinagar, March 12,: Blaming media for the disorder in the state, CPI(M) state secretary, Mohammad Yousf Tarigami Tuesday showed his face when he yelled at media persons in Assembly complex terming them as trouble creators in the state. The remarks of Tarigami compelled media persons to leave the Assembly and it was only after the intervention of National Conference leaders, Choudry Mohammad Ramzan and Mohammad Akbar Lone that media entered into House and performed their duties.
A journalist from Jammu told CNS that when Eng.Rashid was allegedly beaten by Marshalls and he was pushed by Congress leader Raman Bhalla to door, PDP MLA stood up and supported Eng Rashid. “Pandemonium in Assembly forced the Speaker to adjourn the House and all the members and media men were coming out from the Assembly, Tarigami suddenly shouted at cameramen that they are the people who are responsible for setting the state on fire,” he said.“Tarigami was furious for no reason. He was in other way trying to stop cameraman from shooting the tumultuous scenes of Assembly and in a fit of rage criticized the role of media,” the scribe said. One of the scribes told him that it is not media but you people who are creating ruckus in the assembly. “If you don’t want us to be here then you should not issue passes to media,” one of the scribes told Tarigami.Taking strong note of the remarks of Tarigami, all the media persons covering Assembly came out and decided to boycott the proceedings. It was only after the intervention of National Conference leaders, Choudry Mohammad Ramzan and Mohammad Akbar Lone that media entered into House and performed their duties.
