Vacant posts in Kargil schools to be filled shortly: Feroz khan




JAMMU, MARCH 28:- Minister of State for School Education, Mr. Feroz Ahmed Khan today informed the House that the vacant posts of Principals, Headmasters and Masters in district Kargil will be filled up shortly by making placement of eligible officers. Besides, he said, 50 vacant posts of teachers in District Kargil are to be filled up by District Recruitment Board, Kargil soon.Replying to a Calling Attention Notice of Mr. Qamar Ali Akhoon, the Minister said presently 8 posts of principals, 16 posts of Headmasters, 62 posts of lecturers, 118 posts of Masters and 50 posts of teachers in various schools of Kargil district. For smooth functioning of these schools, the charges of these posts have been given to other senior officers. He said recently 581 posts of Lectures under direct quota in various disciplines have been referred to the J&K Public Service Commission for selection of suitable candidates. In order to ensure smooth functioning of the Higher Secondary Schools till the vacancies are filled up on regular basis, services of un-employed Post Graduate youth have also been hired on academic arrangement basis after inviting applications from eligible candidates and observing all codal formalities so that the academic activities in the schools may not hamper, said the Minister
