No place for land grabbers and drug smugglers :-Shakeel A Beigh Briefs Sarpanches, punches, prominent citizens, Kot Bahwal



Jammu, March, 28th: In order to channelize the energy of youth in particular and to bridge the gap between police and public in general Shri Shakeel A. Beig DIG Jammu, Samba, Kathua Range inaugurated Gym in Panchayat Garh complex in village Kot in the jurisdiction of Police Station Gharota which has been commissioned by the Jammu-Samba-Kathua Range of an amount of rupees 2.5 lacs under the Civic Action Programme .While briefing the gathering of Sarpanches, punches, prominent citizens, and members of various youth clubs of 18 Panchyats of Kot Bahwal block he said that police have been deployed to protect the life and property of the citizens and efforts shall be made to introduce people-friendly policing especially in the Police Station level. He told that SHOs and Munshies have been directed to be polite with common citizens and to deal land grabbers and smugglers with iron hand.  He said that since Jammu police is competent enough to deal with land mafia and drug smugglers, all the SHOs have been directed to furnish details of land grabbers and drug smugglers regarding the cases registered against them in order to open their history sheets and to book them under Public Safety Act.  Menace of drug smuggling shall be crushed from Jammu Samba Kathua Range as ill effects of the drugs are bound to derail our young generation, DIG Jammu added.
